The path winds between holm oaks towards the heart of the La Verdosa estate, crossing streams and dells, resting places for small herds of deer. At the end, it rises gently to the highest hill, opening up to a view of a blanket of vines, dotted with darker evergreen oaks.
The vineyard
Six large parcels welcome you to the heart of Arrayán. Now perfectly integrated into the surroundings of the dehesa, the geometry of the plantation reveals its modern origin. The parcels were planted in 1999, with the careful selection of the most suitable locations and orientations for each variety. Now, this compact and diverse vineyard is gradually changing to give native varieties a greater role.

The winery
On a harmonious scale, a practical determination. Guided by these assertions, our installations were designed to facilitate winemaking, allowing us to separate and vinify the different batches of grapes according to their origin and variety. On harvest days, the winery now receives grapes from three landscapes.
Our primary objective has been to ensure that the vines offer an emphatic expression of each terroir. To do so, organic viticulture is practised, without the use of herbicides or insecticides, favouring biodiversity and balance. The same philosophy is followed in the lagar, where spontaneous fermentations take place using the grapes’ native yeasts, without the addition of winemaking products, in order to obtain the greatest purity and personality. Ageing is a fundamental aspect, in which several sizes of barrels from different cooperages are used, as well as the large wooden foudres known here as tinos, in addition to amphorae and concrete vats, all aimed at favouring the expression of the fruit.
